Uzbekistan and Slovenia sign package of bilateral agreements
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Following negotiations held in Ljubljana, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia Robert Golob signed a Joint Statement outlining the main directions of the strategic partnership between the two countries.
In the presence of the heads of state, a ceremony took place to exchange a package of bilateral agreements, which includes:
– an agreement on the abolition of visa requirements for holders of diplomatic passports;
– a memorandum of cooperation in the fields of education, science, and culture;
– an agreement on cooperation in transport and logistics;
– a document on partnership in the management of “smart” cities;
– an agreement on cooperation in standardization;
– an agreement on the rational use and management of water resources;
– a memorandum on the development of cooperation in the tourism sector.
The signed documents establish a solid legal framework for expanding Uzbek-Slovenian cooperation across key areas.
