Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As part of the official visit of the Uzbek delegation to Moscow, Sherzod Asadov, Press Secretary to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, held a meeting with Dmitry Peskov, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office and Press Secretary to the President of the Russian Federation.

The two sides discussed current issues and promising directions for bilateral cooperation in the media and communications sphere, with a focus on journalism training and capacity-building in modern media communications.

Special attention was given to enhancing coordination between the presidential press services of Uzbekistan and Russia, sharing best practices, and developing modern approaches to strategic communications. Both parties underscored the importance of continuous professional development for media personnel amid the rapidly evolving media landscape and the growing influence of digital platforms.

Plans for the launch of joint media initiatives related to Uzbekistan–Russia cooperation were also reviewed. Both sides expressed a mutual commitment to deepen dialogue, strengthen professional collaboration, and reinforce institutional partnerships between their respective communications teams.
