Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As part of the official visit to Hungary, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, held talks with Sándor Csányi, Chairman of the Board of OTP Bank Group.

Both parties expressed satisfaction with the active development of OTP Bank’s operations in Uzbekistan since 2023 and the steady strengthening of its position in the country’s financial market. President Mirziyoyev welcomed the implementation of joint programs aimed at developing auto lending and financing business initiatives, while also emphasizing the importance of the swift launch of a large-scale project to establish a poultry cluster.

Special attention was given to advancing projects by Hungarian companies within the industrial park being established in the Tashkent region. In this context, the key role of OTP Bank in providing financial support and facilitating promising initiatives was highlighted.

During the meeting, both sides confirmed their readiness to further deepen the partnership, including through new avenues of investment cooperation.
