Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The official visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, to the Republic of Slovenia has been successfully completed.

The Uzbek-Slovenian summit, the first in 20 years, marked a new phase in the development of bilateral relations between the two countries.

During the visit, productive talks were held with the President of Slovenia, Nataša Pirc Musar, Prime Minister Robert Golob, and Chairwoman of the National Assembly Urška Klakočar Zupančič.

The parties discussed a wide range of issues, including politics, economy, investment, industrial cooperation, environment, culture, tourism, and education.

As a result of the meetings, a Joint Statement was adopted, and a comprehensive package of intergovernmental and interagency agreements was signed, solidifying the reached agreements on key areas of cooperation.

The highlight of the visit was the Uzbek-Slovenian business forum, attended by the heads of state and representatives of about 100 leading companies from both countries.

At Ljubljana International Airport, the distinguished guest was seen off by the Minister of Internal Affairs, Boštjan Poklukar, and other officials. The President of Uzbekistan departed for the city of Tashkent.
